PAPERS<\/h1>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The Brazilian Symposium on Bioinformatics (BSB) is an international conference covering all aspects of Bioinformatics and Computational and Systems Biology. The initial edition of BSB, in 2002, was called WOB (Workshop on Bioinformatics) and was indexed by <a href=\"blank\">DBLP<\/a>. In 2004 WOB was renamed BSB and organized by the special interest group in Computational Biology <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbc.org.br\/14-comissoes\/381-biologia-computacional\">(CE-BioComp)<\/a> of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sbc.org.br\/\">Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).<\/a><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>BSB 2024 intends to attract participation from academic and industrial researchers, both in the exact sciences (computer science, mathematics, and statistics) and the life sciences (molecular biology, biochemistry, genetics, medicine, microbiology, and others) to submit papers describing original work related to the topics indicated below. Accepted papers will be orally presented at the conference by one of the authors. Acceptance will be based on quality, relevance, and originality.<\/p>\n<p>BSB 2024 Proceedings containing the accepted full and short papers will be published as a volume in the <strong>SBC-OpenLib (SOL)<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>&lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br<\/a>&gt;<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0in its <strong>Bioinformatics series<\/strong> <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>&lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/bsb\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/sol.sbc.org.br\/index.php\/bsb<\/a>&gt;<\/strong><\/span>,\u00a0from\u00a0SBC. All submissions must be in English.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The format to be used is \u201cSBC template\u201d. Authors should consult links below and use <strong>the proceedings templates<\/strong>, either for LaTeX or for Word, for the preparation of their papers. The submission must be in PDF format (maximum 20 Mb). LaTex or Word versions (on which the PDF must be based) will be required later, for accepted papers, for inclusion in the BSB 2024 proceedings.
