CALL FOR PAPERS (SUBMISSIONS CLOSED)
The Brazilian Symposium on Bioinformatics (BSB) is a well-established international conference that brings together researchers and practitioners working in all areas of Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology. Since its inaugural edition in 2002, launched as the Workshop on Bioinformatics (WOB) and indexed by DBLP, BSB has evolved into a premier event in Latin America. In 2004, it was officially renamed to BSB and has since been organized by the Special Interest Group in Computational Biology (CE-BioComp) of the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC).
In 2025, BSB will be held in Fortaleza, Ceará, from 29th September – 2nd October, in conjunction with SBBD and BRACIS.
BSB 2025 aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration by attracting high-quality submissions from both academic and industrial communities. We encourage participation from researchers in STEM (e.g., computer science, statistics, mathematics) and the life sciences (e.g., molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, medicine, microbiology, and related fields). We welcome the submission of original and unpublished research papers that explore novel computational techniques, tools, models, or insights in any of the topics outlined below.
All accepted papers will be presented during the conference by at least one of the authors. Submissions will be evaluated based on scientific quality, relevance to the field, and originality of contribution.
The BSB 2025 Proceedings, comprising both full and short papers, will be published in the SBC Open Library (SOL) specifically, in the BSB entry: https://sol.sbc.org.br/index.php/bsb.
All published papers will be Open Access and assigned a unique Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
We look forward to your contributions and to welcoming you to BSB 2025!
