About BSB 2025<\/span><\/h1>\n

Brazilian Symposium on Bioinformatics<\/h2>\n

The Brazilian Symposium on Bioinformatics (BSB) is a traditional scientific conference focused on\u00a0bioinformatics, computational biology, and systems biology. It serves as a key meeting point for researchers from both academic and industrial backgrounds, bridging the gap between exact and life sciences.<\/p>\n

\n

Originally established in 2002 as the Workshop on Bioinformatics (WOB), the event was renamed to BSB in 2005. It’s organized by the\u00a0Computational Biology special interest group (CE-BioComp)<\/a><\/b>\u00a0of the\u00a0Brazilian Computer Society (SBC)<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

BSB 2025 accepts both\u00a0full and short papers\u00a0for oral presentation (submissions are closed). All accepted papers (since 2024) are published as an\u00a0Open Access<\/b>\u00a0volume in the\u00a0SBC-OpenLib (SOL)<\/a><\/strong>, previously at Springer LNCS bioinformatics series.\u00a0DBLP<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0lists all papers since 2002!<\/p>\n

In addition to\u00a0full and short papers<\/b>\u00a0for oral presentation (submissions are now closed), the symposium also feature\u00a0invited talks<\/b>,\u00a0<\/b>minicourses and tutorials to deepen knowledge on specific topics. The event also includes a dedicated\u00a0poster session<\/b>\u00a0for accepted abstracts, providing an excellent platform for researchers to present their ongoing work and engage preliminary results in discussions.<\/p>\n
